Ok, I got this card today and when I install it my pc won't power on. The first time I turn the pc on, it was on for about 15sec and then shut off automatically.
I have a A7N8X-E Asus MB that supports AGP 8x with a 350W PS. I also have 1 SATA HD and an IDE one connected as well. Could it be that I'm overloading my system, that I have a defective card, or is there something else I'm doing wrong during installation? BTW, plugged my old Nvidia 32MB Geforce mx2 in and was back to normal. Any help would be appreaciated.

    Thanks

Welcome to MG.The first time you used the card,it probably got as far as its drivers, then the drivers kicked it into gear and fried it,or the card just gave up by itself, being a faulty card,is there no response at all from the power switch when the card is installed?or do the fans spin up?how many times have you tried it?is your mx a pci card?Have you tried installing the card and resetting the cmos jumper or removing the battery?

Geez, found out what the problem was, real stupid too. I didn't push the card all the way in the slot! No wonder my pc shut down quickly. But since I though it was because of an overload issue, I disconnected my other IDE HD and now I can't get my pc to reconize my SATA drive anymore. One problem leads to another....
