Problems Updating Spybot Definitions

Hello, MajorGeek Folk:

All fixes using SpyBot state to obtain updates before running. Every time I attempt to download the updates, I get a "bad checksum" note. The fixes say to use a different download location, but I cannot find anyplace within SpyBot with that option. Can you provide details on how to obtain the latest SpyBot updates? On the V1.4 Spybot update page, there is a drop down menu for different DL locations to the right of the Search for Updates button. V1.3 is in a similar location.

 

1. Make sure you're on the latest version - I'm on 1.4

2. On the "Updates" page (select from list on LHS, not the "Search for Updates" button) the second tab in at the top on mine says "No server selected". There's a down arrow next to this that will open up a list of servers. After trying "Search for Updates" you can select this arrow and should see a list of servers - select one close to you and try updating again. Note that the down arrow won't work until you've tried a search first.

Before posting this, I ran mine from "See-Cure #1 Europe" and it go through and confirmed mine was up to date.

I have had "bad checksum" results in the past and have put it down to a problem at their end. Trying the next day usually results in it downloading OK.
