Problems With AdAware Programs???

Hello all!:wave

Having problem trying to remove Ad-Aware SE Personal program (it will not take updates anymore) and trying to add Ad-Aware 2007 is also not working out either as it cannot finish installation! :confused :confused :confused

Thought my add/remove program was not working but when I tried to use "My Uninstaller" program, it could not open the log file either. I checked both by trying to remove another file and found they both worked fine. Tried to uninstall from programs also but got the same message..."Cannot Open Log Files".

Is it possible to install and use another program to take the place of Ad-Aware while it is still on my computer.

I also have AVG, Spybot Search and Destroy and Spyware Blaster on board. Thinking of adding something for rootkits and malware too, would this be overdoing things?

Again, your help would be much appreciated here.....

Only Ad-Aware SE is in my add/remove list the other was never able to finish it's installation as something was wrong with it so no it's not there.

Yes i got the same message (Cannot Open Install Log File) from both uninstaller programs.

Will try reinstalling Ad-Aware SE again and see if that works with uninstalling program.

Tried what you suggested but no longer is AdAware Se Personal available for download. Went to Lavasoft and found the following advice from in their forum. Seems that others are having the same problem.

The only problem was that the first 3 lines did not help at all so looks like I will have to uninstall manually. Hope this works.

Still having problems trying to install AdAware 2007 (It wont finish installation?? :confused) so guess I need something else to take it's place.
