    Beta software is prone to issues at times, nature of the beasty.... sadly many install beta software and grumble when it no work properly, I notice this issue only affects XP tho.

    and like all issues this may only affect a minority of users, similar to the side effects of drugs "may" affect the taker, which is why you should never install beta software if your not happy with potential risks of crashes, flasky behaviour etc and if you do take on a beta, the key word is "feedback" the issue to the developer whoever they maybe without feedback from multiple users with various HW/SW setups these bugs last longer.




    Plus for those testing the WLM 8.5 beta there is an update to it in Windows Live Messenger 8.5 beta 1 Update 1, in Win Update.
