More questions... some might imply some solutions

    - I have an older PC - XP Home

How is this connected to the router? Wireless or cable?

    - I have a Berklin Wireless router "G"

    - I get internet on the laptop but it dosen't pickup my PC

Are you saying the PC doesn't get the internet? Or that the Lappy can't see the PC... or both?

    - Files and printer for sharing.

Is this switched on/installed through your NIC on your PC? ie Settings>Control panel>Netwrok connections> (Select connection to router if there is a choice)>Properties

    - I have Norton Internet security on both.

A setting in your firewall could be preventing you seeing the other computer

    - I ran the wizard on my PC - it is where the router is installed.

    Don't understand this.

    - I changed the settings in Vista on the laptop - changed the workgroup to the same name as the PC.

    What settings other than workgroup?

    - The laptop will not see the other computer.

What about the other way around?

    - I changed from Public to Private but still no go

Don;t undertsand this... though I don;t have Vista so it could be my ignorance

    - I checked Norton under networking and made sure the computer #'s matched.

    What is "matched"

    - I just don't know what to do.....please help.

Trying to, give us all more details.

    Dins
