    Hello :wave
I'm a new member and I really need some help. Yesterday I ran Malwarbytes, SDFix and ATF cleaner on my computer to get rid of the 176 VUNDO and false bug doctor trojans that were on my computer. It worked and removed them all. However, now I cannot get IE 8 to operate. The diagnostic tool says that there is no connection on HTTP port (80) Https (443) and FTP port (21) and is due to a firewall? I can only find the Windows firewall and even after disabling it temporarily IE still does not connect. I'm lost now. I really really do not want to reformat my computer and I've gone to great lengths to avoid it. Is there anything that can be done to correct my issue?
    I appreciate your help!

I have read several reports from people having problems with IE8, it seem to be a bit buggie.
My nag screen keeps asking me if i want to install it but so far i have resisted but then i use mostly FF.

Thank you for your replies. I should have also added that I had the same issue with IE7 which is why I upgraded to IE 8 thinking it would over ride my problem. I didnt uninstall just updated. I'll give the uninstall a try and let you know if it worked.

    HI

Sadly IE and Windows get a bad name sometimes when its not actually their fault but a 3rd party issue as in the likelyhood that the malware on your PC is not fully removed, sadly automatic removal tools dont always fully remove all the malware and a manual expert eye is needed with some tailored logs to help, so best bet is to run the below

I really do appreciate all your help!!! I went home and uninstalled IE 8 and tried to uninstall IE 7 but when it said that alot of my programs may not work after uninstalling 7 I decided against that. I went in and changed my proxy settings and that seems to have fixed my problem. Everything is working fine now and I'm happy about that!!

Thanks again for all your help!!! I really do appreciate it! :-D
I'd hug you all if I could. hahaha
