So recently i have been plagued with this unknown problem with Java that i never have had before, just out of the blue when ever i try to go on a local chat site. Java would load, the little bar goes the entire way and then just stop and "freeze" my Firefox, i can't click on any other tabs or options. But if i click new tab and minimize Firefox, then re-open it. The new tab is open, but again i cannot type anything in it because its "Frozen". Note i am able to play Minecraft just fine, but it seems anything to do with a browser and Java causes it to freeze when a website like a chatsite requires it. Any idea's how to fix this?

Note : I've uninstalled java, gone through my registery. Used CCleaner, restarted before re-installing the newest version of Java (Which is what i already used before the problem has began to happen). I've also allowed it through my firewall, disabled my anti-virus both while installing Java and trying to connect to the website. No luck. Really could use some help here, tired of this unknown problem.

Sorry i am not really bumping this thread, upon further searching i've come to noticed it says this about my Java.

Java Deployment Toolkit 8.0.250.18 is known to be vulnerable. Use with caution.
    Java Deployment Toolkit 8.0.250.18 11.25.2.18

Even though it is set to "as to enable" i can't help but feel it's being blocked, could this be why Java is freezing my browser? Also how would i go about unblocking it, even though its "ask to activate" its still marked in red.

Tried the "Work Around", still not loading. Anyways now when i attempt to go to the chat site the little box just remains white the entire time, doesn't even show java loading anymore.

Appreciate the suggestion JoeRay12, but i have also done what you suggested with the same program provided under a topic i found on here. Still no luck i honestly don't know what to do.. it's driving me insane that Java won't work on any site that requires it. But i can use Java just fine to run a game like Minecraft.

Just tried using Chrome and IE. Both freeze instantly when attempting to activate Java.

That sounds like you have some malware installed. Neither Chrome nor IE freeze instantly on the presence of Java, because neither use them unless the page has java applets on it (and most do not).

As i continue to look up issues with Java, the possibility of a virus was mentioned so i ran scans in and out of safe mode. But they turn up empty, i suppose i should have worded what i said a little more carefully when i said IE and Chrome freeze, they only do that when i attempt to go onto a Chatsite that uses a java applet. Only difference between FireFox, and IE/Chrome is when on Firefox it doesn't entirely freeze, i am able to click "New Tab". But this tab only appears AFTER i minimize FireFox, then bring the window back up. Now, i am not able to type anything in the address bar due to the browser being "frozen". Where as when i go onto the Chatsite on IE/Chrome both browsers freeze up instantly and i am not even able to minimize said browsers and have to Ctrl-Alt-Delete, then end the tasks in order to get them to close.

Any site that requires a Java Applet freezes on me in all three browsers, i can't even "Verify Java Version" because that causes the browsers to freeze as well.

Some sites using the Java applet may not be compatible with Java 8 yet. I don't think you can override the Java toolkit add on in Firefox, even if it appears enabled.
