    Hi

If you have screenshots you can host them HERE

What Windows version and Service Pack?

If you have any 3rd party hardware attached to your PC remove them then reboot and see if the list of ? in Device Manager are the same?

Without having to read all your other thread which is long, what are the main issues you are having?

With all 3rd party hardware removed and you still have the same ? in dev manager then, have you had to re-installed Windows for some reason or did this happen after a malware infection?

The route I would take is to re-install the Chipset driver and reboot, then list any of the ? in Dev Manager for us?

Then install if you dont have SP3 for Windows XP if that is your Windows version (XP SP3, Vista and Win7 are all ok) the UAA HD Audio driver from HERE then reboot and re-install the Audio Driver from Lenovo

If you are using the default Windows version that Lenovo installed on that laptop then HERE are the drivers,

Just read your Software forum thread and try this also as you seem to have SP2 for XP already installed.

Install the Chipset and reboot (driver listed at the Lenovo site above) and then follow the below

    DavidGP,
According to his Everest Report he posted today, he is running XP SP3. I sent sach2 a PM for a link I found with all the drivers for the 10e but I wanted him to take a look at it first.

    Hi

Yes ment to type SP3 but typo fingers, but the quoted guide of mine is apt as its to aid in fooling SP3 into thinking SP2 is installed so you can install the UAA driver as in some instances, depending on how you have installed Windows and the drivers the UAA driver and Audio may not pair up well.

Yep, I misread the post and now see what that you were trying to fool SP3 into thinking it was SP2. :-o That was a very good tip. I am keeping that for reference.

    pongo,
What did you do to get sound from the speakers? It might help other people with the same problem.
