Problems with Nero 6 and XP

I upgraded my nero 5.5 to nero 6 and have been having problems getting it to work. I went to the nero site and got the update pack to 6.8 for win xp that says it should fix the problem. Though whenever I try to start nero i get a blue screen saying something about "physical memory dump" and "check to see if i have enough memory" I still have over 2 gig of harddrive space, no other programs are really running and i have 1.2 gig of RAM. There are no Windows updates I am missing. Any ideas of why its not working?

I upgraded to 6 b/c my cdrw was having problems with making audio cds that constantly skip.

 

Have you tried uninstalling Nero and then installing the latest version?

Nero can be difficult to remove and can leave remnants. From memory, I think they have an uninstall utility on the Ahead website.
