Problems with Norton Internet Security

Hello Major Geeks!

I have been using Norton since 2004. I think it expired last night but instead of taking me through the renewal process, it indicated it had a problem and needed to be uninstalled. I uninstalled it.

Since I was seriously considering using another alternative, I have not bothered contacting Norton about the following problems.

My websites are not showing Google adsense. The normal content is in the box the ads are suppose to be. I cannot empty my junk folder in yahoo mail or delete any mail or even move mail to a folder. I believe all this is because of Norton because I have experienced that before.

My questions :

What is a better or superior alternative to Norton? Every once in a while I have a major problem with Norton that at times puts me offline for hours. So I need to get a better option.

If I go for an alternative, with the problems of yahoo mail, google etc be solved.

That will make sure that most of NAV is off your system. After you run it, restart and see what issues/problems still remain.

Do you mean AVG is sufficient? So I do not need the paid versions like McAfee, Norton etc?

AVG is fine, plus you will probably notice a slight increase in performance. I really think you will like it when you get used to it.
