Problems with Norton

Hello
I recently downloaded and installed an mmo called Bright Shadow upon trying to launch this game i recieved a notice from Norton Security Suite saying that SONAR had detected and blocked a risk and the game does not launch
when i view the recent history of Norton it says the program was blocked becuase it was trying to access thread data
if anyone could help me as to how to fix this so the game would play correctly i would appreciate it very much

 

i did try to disable the antivirus auto detect and the firewall and then tried running the game but to no avail
after clicking launch the game client closes and nothing happens
ive been looking through the settings in the norton menu but so far ive found nothing

This is Mike from the Norton Authorized Support Team.

Norton Internet Security did it's job by protecting you, as it detected a threat in the game that you downloaded. What you should do is to manually run LiveUpdate to ensure you have the latest patches applied and then run a Full System Scan to make sure there are no more threats on your system.

You should then leave Auto-Protect enabled and download the game again. If you are warned of a threat again, there is obviously a problem with the game and I would advise you to not install it. If Norton does not warn you of a threat after you download it again, go ahead and disable Auto_protect before trying to run the game.
