Problems with Port 843

    I keep getting this message when I join up with certain Java IRC chat channels. Security error! Make sure you have port 843 open (firewall). If you are the server administrator. I know port 843 has to do with Adobe Flash but im not sure how I can open these ports or if its with windows firewall or my routers.

    What Windows version and Service Pack are you using?

    Are you using the Windows firewall or do you have a 3rd party firewall installed, this 3rd party one may have come bundled with an Antivirus application, if a 3rd party one please tell us what one?

    If Windows Firewall then to open a port follow this for XP HERE and for Vista/Win7 HERE

    For advice on your Router then please leave the make and model you have so someone can assist you with this, but some information you may find HERE on opening ports in your router.

    Using Win7 32bit and my router is a linksys WRT301N. I am using windows firewall, I was told I could just simply turn that off all together an use my router firewall and ESET Nod32 antivirus and be fine.
