problems with sp1

    i just installed service pack 1 after it was done i tried to reboot and it took forever for the desktop to come up it set on blue screen for about 15 min . is this normal after loading this or is there a problem ? i haven't tried to restart again for fear that it might not come back on is there a way to remove sp1 ?

    First off, you need SP1 if not SP2 plus regardless of either, the latest critical updates from Microsoft.

    If your going to run SP2 no need to even bother with SP1, all stuff included on 2!
    After loading SP1 there is delay before windows opens up although 15min is extreme, unless your maybe at minimum or lower specs for XP OS, or ya may have a hardware problem.
    What are your Spec's?

    Just restart the PC.
    Keep eyes open for error, if ya get one, note it, exactly, and post it.

    If something goes wrong just post your problem.

    thanks for the reply restarted everything seems fine less than 2 min from clicking restart to back on this page i guess i will load sp2 now and give it a try thanks again
