Problems with Spybot!

:Help needed please!:confused

Using Windows XP, latest free addition of free AVG, SpywareBlaster, Spybot Search and Destroy and Comodo firewall:

For the past month I have been having problems when running search and destroy in Spybot. Program gets maybe 1/3 of the way through and it crashes! :cry

Happened again this morning and when I booted back up there was an icon for Spybot in my tray with a lock. When placing pointer over it, I get message saying that Spybot has been black listed!! Who black listed it and why??? :confused

I check for updates on a regular time each week and have no problem getting them. Just can't seem to run the search and destroy part on this.

I have recovered recent corrections made by Spybot and removed it from computer as suggested when clicking remove button.

Should I do a new install or try something else. Could there be a conflict of running it with my other protection programs? Is it needed at all since AVG has become so much better? :confused

Will await your advice before going ahead with anything else. I appreciate any help you can give me on this problem.

 

One program that can blacklist other programs is Spybot itself in the form of it's TeaTimer program. Do you have that running? If so right click on the TeaTimer system tray icon and select Settings. Click on each of the four options to review any changes and undo whatever you wish to including S&D itself maybe!
