Problems with the Nokia N-Gage

Not exactly a PC-related issue but hey, you guys have fixed every problem I've run into.

Here's what happened. I recently did a fresh reformat. Plugged my N-Gage in, and XP automatically detects it. I drag and drop a few songs into it and later on, as I try to play 'em, it says that my memory card has become corrupted. No worries, it's happened before, so I just format the MMC using the phone itself.

I plug it in again and my PC WILL NOT detect it.

Here's what I've tried:

Of course, unplugged and replugged the darned thing. Not even a "busy" mouse cursor.

Used a different USB cable. Same thing.

Used the same MMC on my digital camera: XP detects it, no problems.

Uninstalled everything under Universal Serial Bus controllers on device manager, and plugged everything back in. Windows detects all of 'em (mouse, webcame, printer) except the N-Gage.

Restarted the Universal Plug and Play service on services.msc. Still nothing.

Tried installing the software from the CD the phone came with. "No Device Found".

Heck I've even tried safe mode.

This wouldn't be so frustrating if the PC hadn't detected it the FIRST time, if you know what I mean.

Have you tried formatting it (the MMC) in the camera or another device, and then trying it in the phone?

 

Sure have. Sorry, missed that.

Oh, and yeah... Windows XP Home, SP2.
