Problems with windows updates & internet!

Does anyone know why the latest updates are trying to install and say they fail. I have been having problems with accessing the interent as well. This may be related. I had zone alarm and my service provider suggested to remove zone alarm and then reinstall it. Has anyone ever heard of these problems. Also get a fatal error from a driver (not sure which one). Could that be from zone alarm? Any help would be appreciated.

As i tried to reinstall zone alarm I got a stop error message and then the pc reboots and came up with the following screen shots:

 

Does anyone have any ideas of what couldbe causing this? I am to assume that is the Zone alarm temp files as I have benn running fine for a few days without a firewall. Any ideas would help?
