Problems..

    Okay..
    I read the procedures for Surfsidekick removal..
    But after i pressed the button "extract" for HJT.
    My computer detected a generic worm..
    So .. now.. what do i do?

    I just want to fix my computer.. >_<

    ohhh i almost forgot.
    i scanned my computer with Adware SE
    It said the object was caused by HKEY_LOCAL_Machine..

    Welcome to Majorgeeks!
    You need to update your definitons for McAfee (I'm assuming you have McAfee based on your worm detetction) you are way out of date. This was a bug in McAfee that was fixed more than a year ago. If your subscription has expired, then uninstall McAfee and get a new antivirus or pay for a new subscription.

    I repeat my previous message:
    Run all the steps in this sticky thread. You have mutliple problems and need to do a full cleaning procedure. Attach the two logs from step 6 when you finish. Then run the below procedure too.

    Download FindQool by LonnyRJones
    • Extract the files and place the FindQool folder into root folder of your hard disk. This is usually C:\
    • Open the folder and run Qlocate.bat
    • attach the contents of the txt.log which will open wen the scan is finished
