Hi all I'm new to this forum, but not exactly new to computers, however - I have a strange thing happening in process explorer that i cant quite figure out, and I'm hoping that one of you guys (and gals) can shed some light on this for me:

I use "Process Explorer" (www.sysinternals.com) instead of the normal Task Manager to view running processes on my system (Windows Vista Ultimate) - and under one svchost process i get a loooong list of "taskeng.exe" 's running, and i mean no less than 20 or 30 - and the longer i leave it, the more of these processes get added, all taskeng.exe - SO which app, I wonder, is insisting on scheduling summin, every few minutes, and why does the process not quit. The list of taskeng's doesnt use any cpu power, but of course it just sits there in the memory and annoys me....

Any Ideas? (I would really appreciate any input)

    Thanks

I'm on XP Pro at the moment. In Vista, is taskeng.exe similar to / in addition to, or replacing XP's svchost.exe? Just curious. Bazza
