    ok i dont understand this, but ok me and my friends were walkin throu da hall and we walked past the computer room and they were like hahahah them computers suck i mean there processors are like only 400 MHz, and im like yeah hahah like i knew what they were talkin about, ;) lol, but anyways would a 400 MHz processor be like a .4 MHz processor and like a 3.0 GHz be like 3000 MHz? or what im confused about that, anyone help?

    1 Hert = 1 cycle per second.
    1 Mega Hert = 100 cycles per second
    1 Giga hert = 100,000 cycles per second.

    so 2 giga Hertz is equal to 2000 Mega hertz, and 200 mega hertz is equa to 0.2Ghz.

    so 400MGz would be 0.4GHz.

    But clock speed isnt a measure of performance, its just a measure of operating speed. The important thing is the FLOPS (floating point operations per second), which basically tells you how fast it is computing information.

    Close, but not quite there.

    1 Hertz = 1 cycle per second
    1 KiloHertz (1KHz) = 1000 cycles per second
    1 MegaHertz (1MHz) = 1,000,000 cycles per second
    1 GigaHertz (1GHz) = 1,000,000,000 cycles per second.

    That part came out right.

    And to take it a step further…

    Atto = 1/1000000000000000000
    Femto = 1/1000000000000000
    Pico = 1/1000000000000
    Nano = 1/1000000000
    Micro = 1/1000000
    Milli = 1/1000
    Kilo = 1000
    Mega = 1000000
    Giga = 1000000000
    Terra = 1000000000000
    Peta = 1000000000000000
    Exa = 1000000000000000000

    And it goes on…

    so now i want a 3.2EHz computer! :D
