Professional help needed!

Hi all professionals. After about 15 hours of trying to remove a virus from a computer I am using remotely I give up.

Can anyone help me professionally?

I am currently in Australia logging into my home computer in UK with gotomypc.

The basic problem is the vista search window appearing before almost all operaions on the computer. I have many emails to respond to and it is almost 2 weeks now and getting desperate.
I am restricted with rebooting etc but can open programs etc.

I would need a credible and proven track record professional to log on via gotomypc (remote access available via browser as well as rpgram that goes on computer.). Obviously integrity would be needed!

I have tried most fixes given on major geeks (spybot, ccremover and others) but still the problem remains.
Of course it just might not be something malicious and just something I have done in Vista.

Any other possible solutions would also be appreciated.
