program for recording webcam

i have a logitech webcam at home, i was just wondering if there is some sort of program out there that will record video from the cam. does something like this exist? and where can i download it.

i guess a more correct term would be considered "video capture."

im interested in using this somehow to make sure people are snooping around in my room

Always try this one from MS ( only for XP tho ) Movie Maker 2 ( free )

it will capture video feed from some webcams.

wierd, just as i was checking my email to see if this thread had any replies, i accidentally opened up windows movie maker 1 and saw the "capture video" feature. i downloaded the WMM2 onto my flash drive, is 2 any different than 1?

to be honest i havnt looked into WMM2 in depth..but i will imagine its been updated for errors and compatability... i would personally download it as its more upto date than WMM1
