Programmes for X64 Vista

    Are there any AntiSpyware and AntiVirus software out at the moment for Vista 64 Bit?

    Apparently AVG is (which is the programme i used for a long time before i upgraded to vista), but that detects every single thing I download as a virus, thus stopping me from installing it.

    For example, i tried download GoogleEarth, from the Google site itself, but when I clicked on the .exe file to open it, AVG claimed it was a virus and I couldnt install it.

    Welcome to Major Geeks

    I don't know of any myself. It may be a better idead to ask this particular question in the Software Forum where other Vista X64 users could answer with their experience.

    I'm using Avast on a 32 bit Vista though it is also available for X64. Regular updates and plus it's free for home use. It's available here at MG.

    Yeh im using avast aswell, but as an antivirus.

    Just tried ad-aware, and it doesnt work :cry
