project1 in task menu

project1 appears in my taskbar.
i did the hjt tuturial and this one http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=35407 as best as i could (im getting sleepy) but its possible i'm missing someting here is my log

I don't see anything of concern in your HJT log.

Can you attach a screenshot of your problem with the task menu.

In Task Manager under the "Applications Tab" right click on project1 and select "Go to process" and see where it takes you.

Are you familiar with Smart Guardian?

 

I have the DFI lanparty nF4 SLI DR mother board, it came with it. monitors voltage, temp, fan, etc.

but i've had the board for 5months and i've only seen "project1" for a few days

 

I believe that is what it belongs to is Smart Guardian. If you know it then it's legit, nothing to worry about. But if you don't like it running, navigate to the folder below and look for the uninstaller and uninstall it. You could also look in Add/Remove and uninstall if you choose to.
