Promoting your website

Ok, all ye who have successfully promoted your websites. What should I do? It still isn't on google, and pretty much all the people I have contacted didn't return my emails or calls (yet).

There has to be a way to "get the ball rolling"...normally once a site gains decent popularity, it won't just die off.

What should I do?

I know it is recently opened, I'm not expecting overnight results, but I have a lot of free time this weekend to make it happen....

I have submitted to a few search engines, emailed most of the larger papers in Arizona (still have to do California and Texas, could use some help there as there are a lot more papers), emailed a lot of bloggers with anti-illegal immigration websites, etc.

I've posted on a few message boards ...

I'm not sure what else I can do for free+manpower. All these websites, not really sure how to get it out there.

 

You could try surfing for traffic on exchange sites such as:
