Just bought a new notebook and I am loading all the protection software that it needs. Right now, on my desktop, I have:
    1-Avast Home Edition.
    2-SpywareBlaster
    3-Ad-Aware SE Personal
    4-Spybot Search and Destroy
    5-CCleaner

On my notebook I have already installed Avast Home Edition as my anti-virus.

I plan to install SpywareBlaster and CCleaner next unless you guys have a better suggestion.

I was going to leave off AdAware and Spybot S&D unless you guys think that is a bad decision or have a better suggestion.

Your thoughts will be most appreciated. Thanks.

I know CCleaner is not a piece of protection software but it has served me well over the years cleaning my desktop up - I run it a couple of times a week.
