Would it be possible to get some good recomendations for Windows based proxy server software from you guys? Also, does anyone have a solution to the problem with client machines (browsers) NOT properly recognizing the language settings of various webpages when connected through a proxy, thereby forcing the user to manually set the language from within the browsers' options everytime? I have an idea why that happens actually, but the point is we need a full blown solution, not just theories (however any theories anyone has to offer here are definately welcome!)...

    :edit:

Oh yea and any intelligent optimization tips concerning the functioning of the Proxy server would be appreciated as well. Thanks again.

    =)

You could always go for MS ISA (internet service accelerator) which is a caching proxy. you can also use it as a rudimentary firewall of sorts, but ive not heard great thinks about it. Symantec offer a solution, but it isnt terribly secure. Sygate also have a solution, which I have used (along with software NAT) to some sucess.

Theres just some ideas for you.. I'm no great expert on large networks!
