Proxy on COD2

The game call of duty 2 does not allow you to set up a proxy in-game. But is there anyway at all that I can use a proxy in that game? I do not care If it is slow or about lag or anything like that:

Maybe someone can help me understand this and how to do it?

a circumvention would mean an external proxy you have full control over that is not blocked, as well it would require the local network not doing packet inspection as well as allowing the proxy client to be installed. You would then point COD2 to connect to the local proxy client which would then tunnel the connection to the external proxy server, which in turn connects your client to the server.
