I cannot access internet via IE or Firefox, getting simialr proxy setting errors. ran MBAM and Spybot, and both say I am clean.

I did the Read Me instructions and ran the programs
Looks like ProHitman found something, but I did not do anything as instructed. See attachments

We require the correct MGlogs.zip file from MGtools that was requested before we can continue.

You need to attach the correct log --- C:\MGLog.zip.

Tried running MGTools again. Received the following message:
"SteelWerX WhoAmI application has stopped working"
Window with this message provided two options:
    1. Check online for a solution and close program,
    2. Close the program
Also had "View Problem details". I copied the details to doc filr and have attached.

OK, I was trying to run MGtools from my thumb drive. Reinstalled on my desktool and re-initiated run. Had to give permission to download GNU?

I am not finding any malware in your logs. However, what are these:
    Code:

We may need to send you to the software forum.

Looking at some one else who had a similar problem on your website, I found some registry items that had proxy diversions to 127.0.0.1.14169. I deleted those plus some trace items in ProHitman: FTDownloader, NationZoom. Softonic and AskBar.

I believe Askbar is benign, but deleted anyway

Yes, those items in Hitman were safe to remove, but I doubt they had anything to do with your issues.

Can you log on without using a proxy?

So far, after rebooting once. I will keep an eye on it.

    Thank you

    You're welcome.

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware.
    2. Renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it in step 4 of the READ & RUN ME.
    3. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis. If you don't see it or it will not uninstall, don't worry about it. Just move on to the next step.
    4. If running Vista, Win 7 or Win 8, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Now goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click ( if running Vista, Win7, or Win 8 Right Click and Run As Administrator ) on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    6. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
