Within the log file result of ComboFix there's an entry within the Supplementary Scan details that I am curious about.

Does anybody know what the following means?

..
uInternet Settings,ProxyOverride = <local>
uInternet Settings,ProxyServer = http=31.3.250.54:6666
...

Welcome to Major Geeks!

It looks like you may be using an anonymous proxy host to hide your IP address. Are you doing that?

I've been relying on Majorgeeks forum threads for a few years now, this is the first time I felt I needed to get a little more involved. MajorG is a great place.

I used the 'HideMyAss' paid VPS for a few months about a year ago but thats all I know about.

The IE Internet options doesn't show of any proxy settings, neither Chrome as far as I know.

This is weird.

Can I track down where the setting is from? in maybe my computer configurations or the cmd prompt ??

I am running Win7 pro on laptop with WiFi connection to internet in the house in the USA.

You're welcome. It may not be in use anymore. It could just be a left over registry entry.
