Been having problems with LOTS of pop ups without my browser even on and psguard always on my system even after following the instructions you require.
I no longer get the pop ups but psguard is still being detected.
I have attatched my hijack this log created after following your instructions and rebooting and kepersky online scan results done before bootting in safe mode.
This is the result of the bitdefneder online scan:

    Inline log removed!

To sum up, everything but psguard appears to have been fixed. Thanks.

Scan with HijackThis and Check the Boxes for the following:

Make sure All Browser Windows are Closed when you Click FIX.

    R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page = C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\blank.htm

    O2 - BHO: HomepageBHO - {3bf1f86f-b1a8-489b-8d8b-43781d51411f} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\hp3176.tmp (file missing)

    O3 - Toolbar: SecurityToolbar - {736b5468-bdad-41be-92d0-22ae2ddf7bcb} - C:\Program Files\Security Toolbar\Security Toolbar.dll (file missing)

    O6 - HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control Panel present

    O9 - Extra button: (no name) - {85d1f590-48f4-11d9-9669-0800200c9a66} - %windir%\bdoscandel.exe (file missing)
    O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: Uninstall BitDefender Online Scanner v8 - {85d1f590-48f4-11d9-9669-0800200c9a66} - %windir%\bdoscandel.exe (file missing)

    O20 - Winlogon Notify: ATINotify - logonnfy.dll (file missing)

    O23 - Service: X10 Device Network Service (x10nets) - Unknown owner - C:\PROGRA~1\ATIMUL~1\RemCtrl\x10nets.exe (file missing)

Again, make sure All Browser Windows are Closed when you Click FIX.

    NEXT:
Run CCleaner to clean up cookies and temp files.

Run full scans with Ad-Aware SE & Spybot S&D and have both programs fix what they find.
Note: Remember to get all updates before doing the scans.

After you complete the above, REBOOT scan with HJT and attach a fresh log.

Here is the new log. Neither program detected psguaurd again before re-bootting. Ran microsofts antispyware after re-bootting and it didn't find it either. So far appears to have been fixed. Thanks.
