PSP and PNG files

what's the quickest/easiest way to view these? i've gone thru every sort of default app on my PC -- incl several corel ones -- and nothing seems to work. now i'm scouring download sites for dedicated "viewers".

only have 5 PSPs and 1 PNG to view; certainly don't want to DL PaintShop or w/e just to see them. about to try irfan, but i'd be happy with somethng even simpler/quicker -- gonna delete all 6 pix just as soon as i catch a look.

(was hoping explorer's "preview" might suffice, but no such luck)

not even sure why i HAVE them, actly. musta have PS or the like about 3 PCs back.

and PNG? isn't that supposed to open in w/e GIF opened in????

PNG files should open with Microsoft Picture and Fax Viewer. Irfanview should open both file types.

 

pic & fax viewer rings a bell, but i'm not seeing it. was that something XP-specific?

w7 gives me windows live photo gallery, windows photo viewer, and paint. plus IE, which is my kludge for opening normal GIFs (how come the photo viewers can't handle these anymore**; they did back in XP and 98!).

guess it's time to DL irfan....

Good idea. Irfanview is one of the most powerful and versatile freeware programs ever.
