im building a new rig and I wanted to get all the fans up and running before installing the mobo, ram etc etc ... how do I get juice out of the PSU w/o the components? like an empty case w/ just fans and a PSU

would a 20$ PSU tester do that?

All you would have to do is:

Put a wire leading from one metal thing to another on the ATX motherboard connecter.

I did thes testing a 400w psu that blew out on me.

I am not sure which ones are which though.

I believe a tester would do it.
