Hi Everyone. I am a first time poster, but have been searching the boards for a while now. I was wondering if I might be able to pick the brains of those who might be Exchange 2003 experts.

My issue is that I need to be able to block some users from being able to access the Public Folders when they log into Outlook. I tried to add a group of people to the permissions at the root level of the Public Folders Store in Exchange System Manager and removed 'Everyone' from having permissions, but that caused an issue where I couldn't remount the Public Store.

I know that Public Folders by their very nature are 'Public', meaning everyone should be able to see them, but I am in need to deny certain users the access. Is this possible?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I am not familiar with Exchange 2003 but would it not be possible to move the folders you wish to remain hidden to a different folder that will allow you to create permissions? Just a thought.
