I was wondering maybe it is a setting I have, because both the desktop and laptop quirk out on .swf files

 

Lev, swf files work on my 2 month old laptop, XP Pro with SP2.
I don't remember doing anything in particular to make them work, but have so severely modified the settings in my XP that I could have.

We need a *.swf expert to step in, please.

No worries Bazza...I played around for ages and eventually got shockwave sitting in the right place within Firefox and all systems are go. Now I just have to remember what I did on the laptop so I can repeat on the desktop

 

You need to have Macromedia Flash Player installed. (It's included in XP though)

You also need to check your ActiveX and plug-in settings in Internet Explorer if that's what you're using.
