ok. so how do you configure the accounts so that jacob can load his mp3. how do i transfer the already existing kazaa shared folder, or do they have to start again? when i download emule, do i have to download it three times, and if so how? jacob just tried to re-download his mp3 player and it said to sign on as admin. but its already on the admin account and it doesnt tell you how to transfer. more confused than ever

 

Users with a 'Limited' account cannot install software. You would have to install the software as the Adminstrator first, then put the shortcut under C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs in order for all users on the system to use the software.

You only need to install software once, just make sure it is available to all users as I showed above.

You can probably do a simply drag and drop or copy and paste from the Kazza share folder to the eMule share folder.

This I want to know, what is wrong with emule?

The only bad thing is that it works on a "reward" system, so it's useless for dial-up or intermittent connections as you need to stay online for a while before the download will start.

Apart from that, it's one of the best p2p networks, and has a huge number of users and files, so again I ask,

Yes, but that applies to just about all p2p networks, and it's not just exclusive to emule.

downloaded emule, but cant get it to open on the limited account. all that happens is that i get a message about language, and another about allowing multiple instances. doesnt seem to matter whether i press yes or no.

in addition we have nero. do we also need that program now we have emule? can someone tell me how to work it? it doesnt come with instructions lol. we only download music, to either cd or mp3, not games or dvds. (at the moment anyhow)

eMule may not work on a limited account, may need administrator privileges to run.

You'll want to keep Nero, you can burn more than just MP3 CDs using Nero.

 

ok this is a really silly question. is there a way of altering the text size on firefox so it stays? everytime i log back in its on small, and im old, and at bifocal stage of existance.

been playing back and forth with emule. uninstalled it , installed it, several times. copied C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs all over the place . cannot get it to open on the limited account. maybe it just doesnt? if jacob and bruce cannot download music, no#1 passtime, than i am not sure the limited account thing is gonna work. much aloha everyone

 

was just looking at my start up processes. i am sure some of them arn't necassary, but i dont know which ones or how to change them. any advice would be appreciated. aloha
