Wondering if anyone might have some insight into this particular scenario:

Where I work, we have AT&T webmail which we interface with using Outlook 2010. Not a problem but adding into this mix nowadays is of course phones (iphone, android, etc) as well as laptops and tablets.

So, I am trying to figure out what (or how) is the best way to connect all these devices so that say you send an email from your iphone, that sent email is also show as being sent on your desktop, laptop - basically any device that you have your (work account) email setup on so that you have any/all emails to view/review depending on where you are and which device you are using.

Our desktop stations are using Outlook 2010 setup as a POP3. I have setup my email as an IMAP to see if that way works more like I (we) need/want.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

I read your first 3 paragraphs and was thinking IMAP is what you need, and then I saw, in the paragraph quoted above, that you are using IMAP. But, you imply that you are only using it on your computer, i.e. one device. For IMAP to perform its wonders, all email clients on which the mail for a particular IMAP account is needed must be setup to work with an IMAP account.

I cannot confirm that IMAP will work with all the devices you mentioned. Perhaps someone else can chime in on this.

Thanks for the reply and confirming what I thought was the way to go.
Yes, I had it only on my system/devices as a trial run... success!!!

IMAP is the way to go for what we are trying to accomplish.

    Thanks again.
