I have an AMD Phenom X4 9100e Quad core processor running on Windows Vista 64 Bit. I recently downloaded NVIDIA System Moniter. When i go to the CPU settings, it is showing this....

    CPU 1 Usage = 6%
    CPU 2 Usage =11%
    CPU 3 Usage =10%
    CPU 4 Usage =12%

    CPU 1 Core Clk = 0 Mhz
    CPU 2 Core Clk = 0 Mhz
    CPU 3 Core Clk = 0 Mhz
    CPU 4 Core Clk = 0 Mhz

Shouldn't the Mhz be more then 0 Mhz? Same with my Graphics card as well. I have a NVIDIA Gefore 250 Gts 1G and it it showing that my Graphics card is only running at:
    300 Mhz Core Clk
    100 Mhz Memory Clk
    601 Shader Clk.

Dont know if thats a bug with the program or what?

    Hi

I take it you have an nForce based motherboard?

Yes could be a bug in the application, but try running it as Admin, in Vista right click the shortcut to the app and choose Run as Administrator and see if that helps.

Maybe uninstall and download again and re-install.

I just ran it as an Admin, now it is saying that

    CPU 4 Clk = 17483648 Mhz

Is that meaning that my computer is only running on one core atm?

    Hi

The RS780 motherboards are an ATi chipset which may explain why the Nvidia application is not finding all the data as its not detecting a nForce chipset from Nvidia, so likely wont work too well to give you that info thats missing and will give you bad data as in the mhz you posted above.

Dont be sorry for anything, if you dont know some things you dont know them, which is why forums like Majorgeeks are here to help, but the information you posted above/earlier from CPU-Z is perfect and gives me the info needed to help you, so cheers.

*edit as a thought download this app Speccy and see if that will give you the info you need

Ok so the program is the glitch part. CPU-Z shows that its at 1800.1 MhZ core speed with x9.0 Multipier

Thats perfect and what the specs for the CPU from AMD say, so your CPU is fine and running at peak.
