Quake is slow...

    Just got the game and when i start it it's soo very slow.
    SPECS:
    P 2.7 GHZ
    1GB RAM
    64MB VIDEO CARD
    40GB HDD 120 GB HDD
    What can this be...????

    Could it be your video card? What are minimal requirements for the video card?

    I dont think it's my video card because i can play unreal tournament and it works better than quake.

    defraggin might help .. also you might uninstall-reinstall quake ... maybe there's something set in the display properties that quake doesn't like
