Question about DNS security.....

I started a thread about 5 days ago where we briefly discussed the use of DNS servers for extra security (link: http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=239382). My question is this: can I write a small script or BAT that would change the DNS server settings from "Automatic" to some custom IP addresses? And maybe another script or BAT to set it back to "Automatic"? I just came to the realization that using the secure DNS servers may not be 100% desirable 100% of the time (don't ask! :-o :innocent ), and it would be great to have shortcuts on my desktop for "Secure DNS ON" and "Secure DNS OFF". If such scripts/BATs are possible, how's about posting some code or pointing me in a VERY accurate direction....
    LOL

    THX!

Thanks tgell - awesome link!!! :dood
That last post pretty much tells me what I need to know!! I'll need to tweak it a bit, but it's got me on the right track. I knew that there would be some netsh commands in there, and I knew there would be some ip and some set commands, but I wasn't sure about the order or the exact syntax... thanks again- it really does help. For those interested (if any? :-o ), I'll post the exact script once I get it written and 100% functional.
