im lookin @ buying a new comp...and for the mobo....(barebones kit btw)

    it says..

    - CPU Type: Socket 939
    - FSB: 2000/1600 MT/s
    - Memory type: DDR-400/333/266MHz Dual Channel
    - Memory socket: DDR x 4 Slots
    - Max. Memory: 4 GB
    - Video: nVidia GeForce 6100
    - Audio: Realtek 5.1 Channel
    - LAN: On-Board Realtek 10/100 LAN
    - IDE/SATA: 2x ATA-133 channel, 2x SATA2
    - Slots: (1) x16 PCI-E, (3) PCI
    - Ports: 8x USB 2.0 ports (4 rear, 4 by headers); 2x PS/2 ports; 1x Serial port; 1x VGA port; 1x RJ45 LAN port; Audio I/O jack

when it says "nVidiaGeForce 6100: for the video...

does that mean its more of a low class built in graphics processor?

like...if im not looking for the newest bleeding edge graphics...and am fine with decent playability on games...that it would count for a graphics card?

like would i be able to play BF2 or other games, without buying a graphics card?...if not explain what it means to me please.

    thnx alot.

    game.

It would play BF2, but not to the best quality. If you're looking at gaming a lot, you really should consider upping the graphics card, and as it has a pci-x16 slot, you can get the latest cards on the market.

Edit : didn't see your updated post, sata-300 is twice as fast.

I didn't see sata 150 or 300 in first post-- I miss something?

Need to get new harddrive myself(computer can't find it) should I get a sata pci card and a sata drive, or will the adapter slow it down to ide speed anyhow?

Do the round ide cables really let more air flow in the case?
I notice they don't brag about 80 wires like the flat ones.

Please start your own thread for this matter, rather than hijacking another :)

Also, FYI - "2x sata2" was written, thus equaling sata 300.
