question about ram

    my mom gave me a computer she hasnt used in forever is a 98 and lol i didnt work but i took the ram chip out and i was woundering if i am able to but that chip in the secound slot of the computer i do use and they both work together to make my computer fast or how dose that all work? it not that big i says 63 mb or somthing like that.

    It depends on what sort of PC you have as to whether the 64Mb RAM chip will work in your PC. Some older PCs required the RAM in matched pairs. There are also different pin configurations with different types of RAM so it depends again on what type of RAM your PC takes and what type the RAM from your Mom's PC was.
