Question about ratings filter

Hey geeks, can somebody answer a question for me? I was just on the Yahoo finance site and I was reading some opinions on the message board. I opened a message and received the following:

This message is hidden by your ratings filter. You may reduce your minimum rating to view this message

Now my question is, is this a setting in my computer, Vista, IE8, or is this some setting in Yahoo that I can't find or figure out?

Hi

Its possible that in IE8 your have the COntect filter enabled, so check in IE8 > Tools > Internet Options > Content tab > and under Content Advisor that the setting are set lower to allow more content or disable.

Nope, I checked that and it is not enabled.

Hi

Ok, who is your ISP, what is your Antivirus and do you use any toolbars like yahoo as you will need to check them for options as IE is with the Content Filter not active, not blocking you so its another app.

Try running IE with no addons, can do this via the Start menu > Accessories > System Tools and running IE no addons.

Thanks for the reply. I tried the no add-ons, didn't work but problem is solved sort of.

I did find a settings button for my Yahoo account. Available for profanity, ignore, and avatar. The odd thing is all of my settings are turned off, I can't get anymore minimal. I think this is just a Yahoo thing not working right.
