Just tried to remove the Rockmelt browser from my machine.
    TRIED.
Search comes up empty with nothing found.
However, every 15-20 minutes, I get an alert that the Rockmelt Updater is trying to access the internet.
Has to be something in the Registry, but a jungle there to me.
Anybody blaze a trail that I could follow?

The updater is probably running as a service. In the "RUN" box type "services.msc". If you see it there, click the stop button and then change the Startup type to disabled.

    Good morning...

Run regedit and search (Ctrl+F) for anything related to RockMelt - not necessarily telling you to delete anything, just curious about what you find...

Also, just found this (from here):

And, of course, there's always Revo...

    Caliban:
    I did use Revo.
Will now follow the paths set before me here.

    Regedit drew a blank.
    Path in post 4, likewise.

Yeah, that post #4 path is probably dependent upon the RockMelt uninstall still being on the machine...and, any Registry entries might be named something besides 'RockMelt'...

I dunno - if peterparker's services disable pans out and you're satisfied with that, so be it...you might also check the msconfig startup list...

If it were my machine, I'd reinstall the browser, then uninstall it step-by-step...

You could install CCleaner and run its registry cleaner to see whether that makes any difference.

"Old-timers" must be creeping up on me.
    Forgot about CCleaner.
    Hopefully it got it.
3 Registry keys found on first pass.
2 COM entries found on second pass.
1 ActiveX entry found on third pass.4th run came up empty.
    Keeping my fingers crossed.
    Thanks for all responses.

Witch worked the Iobit or the Temp folder i know the temp folder holds a lot of junk and keeps it there until you delete it.It's all most like a hidden folder.I clean out that temp folder once a day you would be surprised on how much junk get's in there.

    The temp. I believe.
Once deleted, hasn't popped in for a visit.

Apparently, you did not use CCleaner's file cleanup utility. It would have cleaned out Temp files.

Yes, it does, assuming Temporary Files was not un-selected when executing the scan.
