Question about user name....

Let's say the main account name on a PC is "Joe Schmo". Lets say I go into Control Panel > User Accounts and change this to "John Doe". Now when I open My Computer, it shows John Doe's Documents. Great. But if go thru drive C: and open Documents and Settings, it still shows Joe Schmo. Now- if I right click My Computer > Manage > Local Users and Groups > Users, it still shows Joe Schmo here also. I can right click Joe Schmo, and the Rename option is presented. If I change this to John Doe, will all traces of the name Joe Schmo be changed to John Doe also? I just ran a temp file cleaner on this PC, and it removed lots of stuff from Joe Schmo's temp folders.... John Doe wants these folders to be named after him, and not his nemesis, Joe Schmo

I had to change out of my Vista partion to check. in XP.

Its a while since I messed with it, but
Start, Run --regedit-- HKEY_ LOCAL MACHINE,

Software
Microsoft,
Windows NT
Current Version
Registered organisation- double click to bring up , and change.
Registered Owner-- Ditto.

Now I only ever remember changing a name , but , they are the keys.

:cool I'll look into it. I suppose if I totally hose the user profiles, I can reload the OS... no biggie.
