My PC is only a week and a half old and the Mrs. already botched it up. Because it is so new, and because I have very little saved to it besides what came factory, would I be better off doing a reformat and reinstall? I have no qualms about using the read and run me method, but just curious if this would be a quicker fix. Don't get me wrong though, I'm not looking for a quick fix, I'm prepared to do what I have to get my PC up to snuff. Any suggestions? Thanks

Well.....doing the malware removal process will give you a chance to see what is wrong and could be a learning experience. Plus you don't have to worry about re-installing the programs and updates, which could take a while. :)

In kind of a demented way, I was looking forward towards the learning experience. I guess then, if all else fails, do the R&R

Yes, do the Read and Run First instructions...then attach the logs in your next two replies. :)
