Hi all, I'm in one of the states that prohibits hand held cell phone use while driving a car.

What type pf Bluetooth accessories will I need to convert to hands free.

My wife and daughter tend to dig around in their purses for the phones while driving and then get even more distracted trying to use them.

It would have to be something extremely simple to use, but hopefully not too expensive.

Don't know if this would matter or not, but my wife and I will be getting new phones at the end of the month.
    TIA.

Hi N5638J, I'm actually looking for something a little more on the easy side.

Okay, that is just scary. No one in their right mind should be digging through a purse looking for their phone, while driving. Let it go to voice mail, and call back once you're at your destination, or put your phone where it is so ridiculously easy to find that you don't have to take your eyes off the road. But to reach into the purse and search desperately for your phone while you drive... that's the sort of thing that causes accidents. If your wife and daughter thinks that single phone call is worth risking a car accident for, they need to re-prioritize before they find themselves in a situation where they have injured or killed someone.

To your original question, if you are getting new phones soon, ask the people in the phone store to recommend bluetooth head sets for that phone model. You don't have to buy them in the store, just get the model number and then order them on Amazon where they are much cheaper. My husband recently got a bluetooth earpiece thing for his phone, since he uses it for work, and he likes it a lot.

True dat. That's why we need the Bluetooth.

My girls are far from the worst. There is a 2 way stop sign near where I work and 9 out of 10 cars that run the stop sign are on the cell phones and guess who they are giving the middle finger salute to?
The person that had the right of way.

I know that personally, when I'm driving and on the cell, that I'm not as focused as I should be. I'll be getting a Bluetooth headset. I'm not too concerned about messing up my hair, like my girls are.

My husband's "headset" is just an ear piece with a microphone, and it hooks over one ear. It's this one, I think.

I personally refuse to even reach for a phone while driving.
I wait until I get to my destination then check to see who I missed.
9 out of 10 times it's nothing important, so nothing lost.

I have a BlueAnt Superlight also. I paid about $50 I think. Your link for a $39 model would probably answer the OP. ;)
