I'm about to install Linux Mint v. 7 on a P4 that was bought off of Dell with XP on it. It's sluggish, but old. Is it going to give me trouble, or is that a decent all around version to use? I've had Ubuntu, I just want to try something else with this (new) old machine.

    Thanks.

Also, is there a program to keep track of finances that will work with it? Might as well kill two birds with one stone. I'm using Ace Money on my machine at the office currently, and I really don't NEED to switch to banking from home. I have / spend enough time here to make it work.

Linux Mint is built off Ubuntu, but, it seems much lighter on resources, it runs gnome desktop by default, therefore any app that runs in ubuntu-gnome will run on mint as well, it uses the same apt-get and repositories.
