Question on PCPerformance.

A friend has PCPerformance by performancesoft on his machine.
Runs automatically on boot-up. Have found no way to stop it.
Never heard of it, so did some digging.
Heard screams of SCAM.
Seems that it does OK, but only removes 25 "errors" unless you buy the full version.
Have told my friend that there are better programs here that does more for free, but second or third opinions welcome.

Never heard of it, do not see it on other software sites and we don't list it. Sounds like scamware, I would get it off there and put Advanced System Care on that he can use the majority of the program for FREE. There are a few programs here that do what you need for free so there is no reason (excuse?) to have a program installed that claims to fix a few errors and then pay for the program for two reasons:

1: Those few errors are cookies or registry entries and the money you pay is not going to be worth it unless it can show you everything wrong and it makes sense.
2: More importantly if it is an unknown company they might just be after your credit card which is again why I say stick with known companies.

When first booted, it found 242 "errors".
Installed SAS and ran. Rebooted to finalize SAS cleaning.
PCPerf. came back on.
Found 327 "errors".
Then installed MBAM and ran.
Another reboot and here's PCPerf. once again.
This time it found 349 "errors".
Strange how the numbers keep going up.
I thought Scam from the first.
