Let me quote directly from Microsoft for you:

The Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package (x86) installs runtime components of Visual C++ Libraries required to run applications developed with Visual C++ on a computer that does not have Visual C++ 2005 installed

So, maybe you need them for some specific program, utility or option of software. Aren't vital, and i think you could install them back if you really need them.

Microsoft Updates download it in each online update but as you can see a lot of these upgrades aren't necessary for all people.

    Good Luck, morti<

    jhonsadins, welcome to MG's :)
Your post here will get moved to a new thread. Always start a new thread. Seems like your system is infected with malware. You should go through the Read and Run Me

Take your time and follow all the instructions.
If you have problems installing or running any of the scanners make a note and proceed to the next step.

Next start a thread in Malware Removal and post the logs saved. If you had any issues/error messages, mention them as accurately as possible.

    Cheers..
