You'll have to forgive me but I'm a 2nd hand party to this situation.

Recently a friend of a friend purchased a new Dell Inspiron 9300, and supposedly it came without an AC adapter.

What it did come with was a Flat US Power Cord. Now here is the problem. She says there isn't anywhere to plug this cord into her Dell, and since I am unable to actually see this laptop (I live nowhere near her) nor have I worked with any of Dells new laptops, I am entirely unfamiliar with this piece of hardware.

Could someone please help me help this poor lass? Does this plug directly into the system or is it merely the power outlet half of a two piece AC adapter? If it is a direct plugin, can you please describe to me where it plugs in so I can oh so carefully point it out for her?

Thanks for any help you can give.
